Hi, I’m Jen and I’m really glad you’re here.

If you’ve found your way here, chances are you’re carrying a lot. Maybe you’re navigating infertility or pregnancy loss, adjusting to life after birth, grieving someone you love, or simply trying to stay steady through the ups and downs of parenting, trauma, or chronic illness. Whatever brings you, you don’t have to go through it alone.

Before becoming a therapist, I spent more than a decade as a Registered Nurse in oncology and palliative care. Those years taught me what it means to sit with people through profound pain and change; to listen, to hold space, and to help make sense of what feels unbearable. That experience deeply shapes the way I work today: grounded, compassionate, and focused on the whole person.

In my counselling practice, I draw from approaches that integrate mind and body, including Existential, Humanistic, and Somatic perspectives, alongside specialized training in Trauma-Informed Stabilization Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Narrative and Somatic approaches to Grief and Loss. My goal is simple: to help you find steadiness, clarity, and hope, even when life feels uncertain.

I work with individuals and couples seeking support with grief, loss, infertility, depression, anxiety, trauma, life transitions, chronic illness, and the complex realities of parenthood. My space is trauma-informed, inclusive, and affirming of all identities, relationships, and lived experiences.

Like many people, my own life has included both joy and heartbreak. I live with chronic illness, have experienced infertility, and am a bereaved parent myself. These experiences have shaped not just my empathy, but my belief that healing isn’t about “fixing”, it’s about understanding, softening, and finding your own way forward.

Outside of my counselling practice, I founded Oliver’s Offerings, a non-profit that provides cost-free retreats for bereaved parents. Seeing how shared experience can bring comfort and connection continues to inspire my work every day.

Whether we meet online, in-person, or out in nature for a walk-and-talk session, my role is to create a space where you feel understood — and where healing can begin, at your pace.

Why "Gathering Glimmers"?

Finding light in the small moments.

The name Gathering Glimmers comes from the idea that healing often begins in life’s smallest moments of safety and joy.

A glimmer is the opposite of a trigger, a tiny cue that helps the body remember calm, connection, and possibility. It might be sunlight through the trees, a deep breath, a song, or the warmth of someone’s smile.

In a world that can feel overwhelming, these moments help guide us back to ourselves.

Gathering Glimmers is about noticing and collecting those sparks of safety, learning to recognize what steadies your nervous system and restores your sense of peace.

Through counselling, we’ll practice finding and nurturing your own glimmers, one moment at a time.
